She is in Abu Dhabi supporting Rory, he's 1 off lead at the moment, still 7 holes to play!

Yeah, it looks bad. If Caro never wins a major, her using early slam losses to watch golf will be what sticks in a lot of people's minds

Always great to see that smile and her being so happy. But there was a time when we used to see that smile on the tennis courts. That bubbly smiling Caroline of the days of old has been replaced by a more grumpy and frustrated version in recent years. If we compare how happy she looks with Rory with how unhappy she looks on a tennis court one can't help but wonder how much longer she'll be around. It would be different if she was still a contender, but in her current state she doesn't really need tennis anymore. She's rich (probably the richest tennis player ever once she marries Rory) and once she stops playing she'll live like a princess without any boring training sessions, jet lag from traveling, annoying diets, etc. So I wonder how long she'll keep going if she doesn't improve soon.

Yeah, if her goal is to win a major, these early round losses make it look like she is far, far away from even contending again.
I figure if Hogstedt stays with Caro and she's still this weak a player at the US Open, she will consider retirement.

I think Caro will stick until Rio at least, unless she plummets badly, which I honestly can't see happening unless she injures herself.
Anyway, talking about retirement when she's 23 is really …crazy. Caro has proven people wrong time after time, she will eventually get her act together.

Re: Caroline Wozniacki "Danish Delight" Picture Thread v2

It just seems like her mindset has completely changed these days, i remember when she suffered that heartbreaking loss here at the oz open semi final in 2011 against Li Na and how different her reaction was, i recall her tweeting that she had been crying for hours, instead of immediately flying out of Melbourne she stayed the extra few days until after the mens final and continued to practice. You could say at that stage tennis was her clear number 1 and she barely had any interest in men, she had a real desire and passion for the sport. Its nice that she has found hapyness in her personal life but a grand slam defeat doesnt seem to hurt her these days, its just an excuse as we can see above to run to Rory and watch golf. Unfortunately thats not going to cut it if she wants to get anywhere down the track.

Its also about changing a style she was good at.
I just saw Djokovic lose the last 2 points to Wawrinka near the net. Caro is not playing steady. She has to go for some backhands up the line when its there, but she has to be steady, thats her strength. The last 2 majors she was up a set and 4-4 in set 2, then lost almost every game to Giorgi and Muguruza.
Its very mental and she has to really be focused and play big points smarter.

The sad thing is that the Caro of 2009-2011 would probably have won a slam title by now because draws keep falling apart. Not always of course, but often enough to make it likely that the Caro of old would have taken advantage of it at least once by now. I don't think she'll ever be as good again as she once was. And even if she somewhere down the line gets her shit together again, will it still be enough at that time? Girls like Bouchard, Halep, Stephens, Keys and one or two other youngsters are improving rapidly. Chances are that one or two years from now one or two of them will make the big jump to greatness themselves. Then what? She missed what could have been/should be her moment I feel. And that moment is now and the past few years.
