I wonder if TJ is still her coach ? It he wasn't I was thinking maybe Carl Maes would be a good replacement for a fulltime coach

I think she needs to stick with him for now, there has been too much change the past 12 months, she needs to find stability again.

I don't recall anybody mentioning or posting this tweet by Caro back on Sept. 8:

Looking forward to seeing my Danish fans on 11 September. Meet me in Fredericia at 10.00 or in Randers at 15:00. http://bit.ly/OiTL3h

We know our Sunshine is a real most of the time but,in light of today's winner,I was wondering: What WOULD it take for Caroline to actually get nasty with a linesman or ump???

WTA suffering from Dementieva withdrawal, a lack of true queens

Congrats on Number Three, Kim! We need more of you in this world

We have seen her get slightly bitchy regarding what she believes to be wrong calls but I can't see her having a Serena moment where she threatens to shove a ball down someone's throat. So far she seems to get whiny rather than violent.

I don't think she has, at least not in a language that I understand, but does anyone know if she ever swore at an official? There was that incident at the 2006 U.S. Open in juniors where she supposedly swore at the official but I don't believe there is any video of that and she denies doing it.

EDIT: Copenhagen, 2010 vs. Goerges, was there an f-bomb dropped by Caroline during this match? I think there may have been but I'm not certain.

Maybe if something happens like in the Ursula Radwanska match I saw earlier today. Setpoint for Ursula, Torro-Flor hits the ball at least half a meter out and Ursula ends up losing the game. If that would happen in a slam semi or final it would make anyone want to shove a ball down that lineperson's throat.

Huh, I just assumed that there would be no coverage of that event, or at least not the early rounds. Eurosport?

03 Serena Williams 4285
04 Sara Errani 2960
05 Petra Kvitova 2580
06= Agnieszka Radwanska 1840
06= Angelique Kerber 1840
08 Samantha Stosur 1505
09 Kim Clijsters 1280
10 Ana Ivanovic 1220

11 Yaroslava Shvedova 942
12 Maria Kirilenko 920
13 Roberta Vinci 885
14 Marion Bartoli 860
15 Li Na 820
16 Sabine Lisicki 790
17= Dominika Cibulkova 765
17= Ekaterina Makarova 765
19= Nadia Petrova 700
19= Sloane Stephens 700
19= Zheng Jie 700

22 Caroline Wozniacki 670
23 Varvara Lepchenko 660

25= Francesca Schiavone 545
I'm stunned, I never thought she would have scored less points than Sabine for example.

I'm surprised that she's even this high considering that she went out in the first round of the last two slams.

Well, she did have that AQ QF, that pretty much "saves" it. But still, looking at some of the names ahead: Jie, Stephens, Shvedova and only 10 points ahead of Lepchenko.

How far we`ve fallen...

Indeed. On the positive side (if there is one) - she should be able to improve on her results at three of the slams next year. But am I the only one who during yesterday's USO final thought of Caroline at some point and wondered "how the hell is she ever going to be able to compete at this level (again)?"

No, surely not.

Looking at how the Top 3-5 play at the moment, I just don't see how she will fit in there again.

These girls have all passed her, not just in terms of game but also mental strength. If you look at how Vika handled herself after that poor first set, not panicking, having a plan B that she can execute...and that against the most accomplished player on the tour on the biggest stage.

I don't know, I can't even picture Caro doing something like that right now. She folds so easily nowadays..

I don't even think about the Top 5 in the foreseeable future, her goal has to be to get back into the Top 10. Not even that is a given right now.
