What with your overconfidence that she will beat Ana just because Ana sucked this year and Caro owned her. I mean Caro is currently in a slump and unfortunately in slumps players tend to lose to people they have no business losing to.

So yeah, your fault this time. Deal with it.

Here's a comparison between Caro's previous match against Pavlyuchenkova and today's/yesterday's match:

2010 Tokyo: 17 winners, 10 unforced errors
2012 Cincy: 12 winners, 28 unforced errors

Practicing without a coach. Same as she's done all year.
Meanwhile Pavs is resting for her QF tonight

The most wasted of all days is one without laughter....
Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there
Enjoy This Moment!!

That's what I don't get. Like I said before, we can't really say that she's lazy, she's working hard on practicing and stuff like that but on court it simply dosen't click...she isn't as much in it as she used to be.

It's probably just going to be the same rehashed answers but I hope her post match interview transcript is posted. You never know, maybe she will be more candid this time.

I'm not sure how it benefits her to be candid with the press. I mean if I were a star player I'd keep the press at arms length cause they are not my friends or even my coach.

I'm thinking selfishly. I would be interested to get inside of her head and hear how she honestly feels about the state of her game and what she needs to do to improve. I also think that she is long past the point where her rehearsed and rehashed answers are acceptable. It's well over a year now of substandard play from her. "She (her opponent) was just too good today" has long since become a disingenuous answer.

As it was inside same sentence, the correct term is double negative
No,I actually appreciate your comments and I'll do some additional research to confirm what you've shared.Like many others,I've always assumed that a double negative only meant what you referred to as multiple negation;however, the meaning may be broader if what you've said is correct.

Speaking of 'negative',though,Goldenlox is getting pretty ridiculous right now;though I don't doubt his/her fanship, the posts have been a litany that any Caro-hater would love citing.Honestly,I didn't forsake Ana because of her W/L record AT ALL;it was because I realized that she lacked any trace of integrity or character and was only playing to keep her ranking just barely high enough to avoid a breach of contract on her lucrative Adidas deal....If Caro supposedly doesn't care, then why would anyone bother supporting her? It's just stupid.I understand where someone would feel that Caro didn't care quite ENOUGH...or that she needed to work somewhat HARDER,but it's plain asinine,IMO,to imply that she didn't care one little bit or hasn't tried whatsoever.Kerber is TWENTY-FOUR YEARS OLD and only last year during the USO Series did she finally show a solid blend of finesse and power that led to her success....So it doesn't translate for me why a Caro turnaround is so impossible.I can grasp skepticism but not when it completely overlooks the fine personal qualities that Caroline possesses

PARTY IN THE PANIC ROOM! Serena wins an undoubtedly clean #22

Congrats on Number Three, Kim! We need more of you in this world

She just did an interview before this match. Caro thinks everything is fine.

I don't read press conferences by any of the players because of the stupid questions they get asked so I get no benefit from the pressers. why more players don't sideeye more of those questions is beyond me.

And really talking can only do so much anyway. It's not like baring her soul will make her play better.
