No matter how you try and justify what do do or why, does not change what it is. You're comment was antagonising and pointless an unnecessary as usual. The permutations upon her statement are irrelevant, as is the endless derailment of topics with your whacky theories and incessant yapping to fix the wrongs.

If you need to raise your post count, can't you go and slag off Piotr and Rory in GM or replay the live scoring of all your other favourites in the 'general tennis' thread like normal, and spare this thread for relevant posting?

Thanks

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 5

Whats going on now? Anyone know?
I guess she's training without TJ. Its been almost 2 weeks since her last match. Over a month she's only played 2 matches.
She use to play a lot of matches & she use to say she needed matches

The most wasted of all days is one without laughter....
Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there

Well, we know she's in Monaco (or at least was a few days ago). Does she have facilities to train on grass there?

There are astro turf courts in Eze just up the road, but surprisingly at the Nice Lawn Tennis Club, they don't have any grass at all...

I'm not sure how important grass training really is at the moment considering what she seems to be working on? Nor am I sure there are any dry grass courts available to use in the UK? Hopefully the IOC and L2012 have it covered...

I think that depends on whether or not she qualifies for the YEC. If it looks like she won't she may decide to play there.

Not after she gets a sex change operation to play the ATP tournament in Atlanta first!

Seriously why doesn't the WTA have a tournament in Atlanta?

As the adage said:"no news is good news". When she's under the radar, I can always hope that she's training in order to rebuild her game and confidence. Better that than new pictures with Rory or some photoshoot.

Honestly I'd rather like her to train on hard court instead than grass. I know the Olympics approach, but I don't expect her to do well there. She's too vulnerable to the big hitters on grass. It's not worth the risk of sacrificing the American season. I rather hope she trains in preparation for the U.S. Open series.

Same here But I rather hope she wins Cincinnati or Montreal. Something big. Ideally Montreal, since it's my city And she'll need those points to protect her US Open semifinal.

Well, the word was that the Olympics would be the goal for her this year so I would assume she's training on grass.

I agree with your assessment, while I can see that the Olympics are important for her, grass simply isn't the surface for her to make anything meaningful happen.

I didn't know it was her main goal this year. Obviously, I wish her well and I hope to see her on the podium. I just have much more expectations for her until the end of 2012. Well, I guess we all have.

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 5

I dont see how the Olympics can be a serious goal when she's lost 5 of her last 7 matches. She has to rebuild her game, her confidence. Find ways to win. Improve her serve. Play smarter in crucial moments. This has become a long term project and she still hasnt shown she can win while being aggressive on her forehand when the match is on the line.Just imagine if after the Olympics she goes to the hardcourt season and she is still losing to Mchale, Kanepi, Georges, Ivanovic, Paszek, Safarova, plus Maria, Serena, Vika, Aga, Kerber. What she did still doesnt make sense. Most players keep what they do best and add to it gradually. What she does best is play steady and make her opponents hit a lot of winners. Now thats gone.

Goldenlox makes a good point that a great Olympic result isn't a realistic goal, probably, but this is such a special event--even for tennis players--made more so by the fact that its limited frequency only grants someone a few opportunities to partake.I can't blame Caroline or ANY patriotic type for getting swept up in the Olympic Fever

PARTY IN THE PANIC ROOM! Serena wins an undoubtedly clean #22

Congrats on Number Three, Kim! We need more of you in this world

Well, there are only two things she can do. She can refuse to play, which isn't an option I don't think. And it wouldn't be fair of us to expect her to give up on a possibly once in a lifetime Olympic experience.

Or she does play in which case I'd expect her to give it her best shot. Sure, she doesn't have much of a chance to get a medal, but you never know. Her "new game" might all of a sudden click, certain players might unexpectedly lose early, she may play the match of her life at the right time, etc. There's not much of a chance that any of this will happen, but if she doesn't try there's no chance whatsoever that any of this will happen.
