Re: Womens Tennis in General

No help for Caro from Julia, Bartoli wins. She has had some quite deep runs lately, won't be easy to pass her again.

Lino starts out with breaking Aga twice, 3-0!

Madison Brengle: "I'd rather chew on a pinecone than play this match (against Wozniacki)."
Nicole Melichar: "Do you want me to go find you one?"

Re: Womens Tennis in General

Youzhny won quickly on Lotus Court so Vika's match should start on time (in half an hour), followed by Caro.

Re: Womens Tennis in General

Pathetic attitude from Kerber, retiring against Sharapova just to avoid the double bagel.

Even the German Eurosport commentators, who are very, very fond of her, called bullshit on that retirement.

Re: Womens Tennis in General

I like to think that it took everything that Angelique had to defeat Caroline and she just had nothing left against Maria. I'm interested to see how Angelique does at the YEC.

Re: Womens Tennis in General

Kerber was also destroyed by Radwanska last week. The only (former) Top 5 players she seems to be able to beat are the Williams sisters, pretty much everybody else is kicking her ass all the time, including Errrani.

Re: Womens Tennis in General

If they meet at the YEC I feel confident that Angelique will destroy Sara. The loss at Roland Garros was one thing but the loss at the U.S. Open was just puzzling.

Great match from my China girl today against Aga. And without any of her customary walkabouts at that!

I think you're missing another former top 5 player but I don't blame you for forgetting or not mentioning that.

Captain Matthew Gideon: I may have an idea.
Dureena Nafeel: I don't think you've recovered from your last good idea.
Captain Matthew Gideon: That would explain it.
