Maria up 3-0. I don't think this is going to end like their match in Australia this year.

Re: Womens Tennis in General

Sharapova is the lot more aggressive player today (6 winners to 1) so far.

Sharapova holds for 4-1 1st set at love. Poor returning from Vika so far.

Re: Womens Tennis in General

Vika broken for 1-5 1st set love on a double fault (again).

Maybe Vika should break a racquet to wake herself up.

Re: Womens Tennis in General

She breaks right back, but hardly on her own merit as Sharapova makes two DFs in a row.

Re: Womens Tennis in General

Azarenka is showing signs of waking up. It may be too late for the first set but the second should be much better for her.

Re: Womens Tennis in General

Two Bps wasted, I think that was her last chance to save this set.

Re: Womens Tennis in General

Sharapova holds for 6-3 1st set from 15-40 down on an ace. Sharapova started off playing pretty well but her groundies and particularly her serve have gone off.

Re: Womens Tennis in General

Yikes, that was some ugly tennis from both of them in the last few games of that set.

Vika fans, don't give up yet. She played pretty poorly in that first set, nowhere for her to go now but up. Also, Maria's serve looks pretty shaky.
