Why exactly would we?

Kirilenko has raised her level, still this will finish in straights.

One has to give Kirilenko one thing, she wins the award for "most intimidating boyfriend on the tour". Jesus christ, that dude is huge...

Vika takes the first...Kirilenko is getting desperate, trying to throw her racket at Vikas shots

Re: Womens Tennis in General

Hmm, first and second sets appear to have followed a similar pattern. Azarenka gets an early lead, Kirilenko levels the set at 3-3 and then Azarenka cruises to a 6-3 win. Still, considering what they are ranked Maria put up a decent fight.

Re: Womens Tennis in General

Azarenka seems really happy.

I haven't watched a ton of Kirilenko's matches but based on what she did today she should be ranked a little higher. Maybe not in the top ten but close.

Huh? I've always liked her, remember me cheering for her when she was down to Cibulkova at Miami and everybody in here wanted her to lose so badly?

It's safe to say that she played an excellent tournament, being in the last four while players like Stosur, Radwanska etc. fail in early rounds, not bad.

I think that bandwagon is much more comfortable when Serena Williams isn't around to derail it.

I know that Azarenka didn't put up much of a fight last year at the U.S. Open but I hope to see her play Serena as much as possible in the next few months, maybe she can get another win over her?

Didn't you start liking her this year during her winning streak?

Speaking just for myself I don't dislike her but at that time the talk of her being the female Djokovic was pretty silly and I was hoping her streak would end.
