easy for you to say! There's nothing they can do when Serena is serving at same speed as men!

How exactly does that affect their own service games? Vika just plays like shit, she has done more stupid errors in this one so far than in all her matches at the Olympics combined already.

Unfortunately that didn't happen. Vika is now down 0-4 2nd set.

Re: Womens Tennis in General

It took her a little while longer than expected but Serena certainly seems to have re-established herself as being the absolute best with the rest of the field a very distant second. Frankly I am disappointed in the younger players. I was really hoping that they would take Serena down but it looks like the only thing that is going to stop her is age and injuries. Well, maybe off of grass she won't be quite so unbeatable.

You would be thrilled if Viktoria (or Caroline) could hit aces like that.

Re: Womens Tennis in General

Of course it is easier said than done but if you can just make Serena move she is much more vulnerable.

Vika rivals Caro with a 3rd game won as she holds for 2-5 2nd set at Ad Vika from 0-30 to 40-30 to 40-40 to Ad Serena to 40-40.

Of course..and a properly playing Vika could...but she dosen't.

Everybody will now go off on about how great Serena played but Vika never made it a contest to begin with.

Well, from the looks of it TennisFan66 can look forward to seeing Maria slaughtered in the final.

Re: Womens Tennis in General

Honestly, I really don't care who wins tomorrow but I wouldn't even mind if it was Sharapova...her game can at least be semi-interesting.

Yah, the younger players' showing is dissapointing. Serena's atp counterpart, Fed, has faced a lot more of a challenge from younger players over the past few years.

Serena's serve isn't quite as dominant outside of grass.
