Yes, she has two R1 exits there so she can make up a bunch of points. It dosen't help her in the YEC race of course though.

That great Hopefully she make so deep runs & You Never know she might be able too pick up some points for YEC, I think she should play Moscow through

Why would points won in Cincy and Montry not help her in the race?

No, I meant the fact that she had R1 exits last year doesn't give her any advantage in "making up" points for the YEC

I agree that now a big opportunity to get more points opens up. She started to play better at last so if she takes her chances we should see her at the YEC. Fingers crossed.

Na has done quite well at the Australian Open, if she is going to win another slam that seems like the place for her to do it.

I agree. And she could move a bit up the rankings again because she has almost literally no points to defend until the end of the year.

Viktoria broken to go down 0-2. Not an ideal start.

3-1 Azarenka at least avoids a bagel.

Vika has the same problem than Caro, she's always shitting herself when playing Serena. I honestly don't understand what these girls are so afraid of, I really don't.

Well, you have to admit that Serena's serve is really something incredible.

Re: Womens Tennis in General

This dosen't excuse any of the errors Vika made, the set could have been a lot closer.

Re: Womens Tennis in General

Hmmm. Serena holds for 6-1 1st set at 40-30 from 40-0. The match is 26 minutes long.

The difference between #1 and #8: 3 winners vs 1 winner, 44% 1st serve won vs 31% 1st serve won, and 1 game won vs 0 games won. Caro's 1st set was longer at 28 minutes long.

Re: Womens Tennis in General

Hopefully this will be like their last match and Azarenka will start the second set much stronger.
