This match almost deserves 5 sets with an epic tiebreak to end it :P

Sigh. Nadal to be given another hard court slam because his opponent choked/collapsed (Australian Open 2009).

Djokovic was up a break at 2-1 3rd set, up a break at 3-2 3rd set, had 30-30 on his serve at 6-5 3rd set.

All hail the new Coria.

Djokovic could still take this in four though! Can't believe how many break points Nadal is saving though. If it goes to five, I'm afraid Novak won't be able to pull it off

Match was a little anti-climatic I guess but still happy Novak won. I mean I'm not a huge fan or anything but his record is so incredible this year..it's nice to see him not blow it at this point.

I'm mainly glad that Nadal didn't win another slam and get closer to Fed's 16 slams.

I'm pretty much tired of Djokovic winning almost everything though. This was kind of a case of the lesser of two evils for me.

I saw the movie Contagion a couple of nights. I thought it was pretty good. If you're tired of the virus spreading type of the movie though then this movie probably isn't for you.

So your a Fed fan I take it?
Here's a question. Do you think that Djokovic will surpass Nadal's slam count in the next couple years or do you think he is just having an exceptionally good season and will lose the "fire" soon?

Florian Mayer's where it's at.

Wish there was a player like that in the women's game.

I hope you do not mind me chiming in here but I do not think that Novak will reach double digits by the end of his career. I am of the opinion that 2011 is a once in a lifetime thing for him but who knows? A few years ago I would have said that Federer would be close to 20 slams by now. Last year it sure looked like Nadal was going to win at least a couple of slams in 2011. Shoot, go back to 2002-2003 and I think most people believed that Hewitt and Roddick would have won several slams each over the next five years or so. In 2000 Safin looked to be the dominant force in the men's game but he only managed to win one more slam. Tennis is an unpredictable game, sooner or later some new guy is going to step up and end Nadal and Djokovic's dominance like they ended Federer's.

I am a little disappointed with del Potro's comeback. I realise that he is not going to get back to where he was right away but I was hoping that by the US Open he would be much closer than he is. At the 2009 US Open he surely appeared to be on the cusp of ending Federer and Nadal's dominance, I hope that he can get back in the mix as far as winning slams is concerned.
