Re: Caroline Wozniacki - Video Thread

It's a little frustrating, in that interview she clearly understands why the second set was much closer but she didn't really do anything to change the way she was playing. If she maintains a high level of play and is aggressive when she needs to be she can go very deep but she has got to stop having lapses and playing passively.

I think it was a little more complicated this time. She certainly upped the effort judging my her aural output alone.

She can often do that against lower ranked opponents but once she gets deeper and runs into someone that is playing at a high level she may not be able to dig herself out of holes so easily. If she plays Clijsters, Li or Azarenka I think she will need to play much better and maintain a high level to beat them.

Agreed, however in THIS match, I wouldn't rush to conclusions about her play for obvious reasons.

I guess I just miss her destroying these lower ranked opponents like she used to do.

Re: Caroline Wozniacki - Video Thread

I don't think I've ever before seen a highlights video where the first point is from the second set and the second point is from the first set!

Madison Brengle: "I'd rather chew on a pinecone than play this match (against Wozniacki)."
Nicole Melichar: "Do you want me to go find you one?"

Re: Caroline Wozniacki - Video Thread

The entire Niculescu match has been uploaded to Youtube. The commentating is Russian (I think).

Madison Brengle: "I'd rather chew on a pinecone than play this match (against Wozniacki)."
Nicole Melichar: "Do you want me to go find you one?"

Re: Caroline Wozniacki - Video Thread

I suggest downloading that^ video soon using a site like keepvid because AO has begun taking down videos of highlights and such so that match will probably be removed soon.
