Re: Road to US OPEN 2014 with sisters

I am not overly surprised with Aga's drop in consistency. I still believe that she is trying to transition her game more towards winning points herself rather than forcing an error from her opponent. Merging an increase in power with her usual game may not happen easily or quickly for her. 18 winners and 18 errors in a match isn’t exactly vintage Aga from 2011-12. Perhaps she's hitting the gym a bit and trying to play a more powerful game. I could be wrong.

She won't hit the gym because she wants to look feminine. She is usually playing 3m behind the baseline, it's ridicoulous and her 2nd serve remains a joke. Even her 1st serve seems slower. Maybe she will do something after Wozniacki wins the US Open and recognize what you can achieve with a more aggressive game. Her BFF winning a Grand Slam should be a great motivator.

Re: Road to US OPEN 2014 with sisters

I really wonder what Ula's schedule will be at the end of the year.

She's playing MD in Tashkent starting Sep 08 then is in the EL for $75k Albuquerque starting Sep 15.. If she actually does go to the US after playing Tashkent then I would assume she will play a full schedule of the USTA ITF events to end the season.. I think that's her best option.

Indoor suits her game more even if in poor form... remember her success in autumn indoor european ITFs after her spine injury.

Re: Road to US OPEN 2014 with sisters

Aga

Really horrible US Open for Aga. R2 exit. Embarrassing. Aga at US Open = Shitwanska

Peng was peaking, but Aga was bad. Only pushing, short balls, she did not move Peng

Aga is really a pusher. Pushwanska is the truth. Way too passive and just pushing

Aga just pushed the ball back and let Peng dictate. She should play aggressive

Serena: "We have great personalities like Jelena (Jankovic) on the tour."
Jelena: "If I had to pick someone after me, I'd pick Serena."

Good Luck
Serena Williams Maria Sharapova Jelena Jankovic
A. Radwanska V. Zvonareva C. Wozniacki N. Petrova M. Hingis
T. Paszek A. Chakvetadze K. Sprem J. Dokic I. Tulyaganova A. Myskina
