Fed Cup (Croatia v Austria)

A bit of a belated thread

Well, once again Iva got the Fed Cup jitters

Losing to Barbara Schwartz 2-6 3-6 With all due respect to Schwartz of course, she is a very dangerous player. But that is a terrible score (once again, after the Czech disaster )

Poor Jelena was left to try and salvage the tie once again, but Barbara Schett ate her up 6-2 6-1

Things not looking good, and I just hope that Iva gives a better account of herself against Babsi #1 tomorrow.

Come on Iva, wake up!!!!!

Where is everybody?

Anyway, Iva beat Babsi 6-4 6-3!!! But sadly Jelena lost a nailbiter to Schwartz 8-6 in the 3rd

Austria have won the tie, but a great fight back in the end from Croatia. Better luck next year.

Good to see Iva rack up an impressive win

Congrats to Iva on her win today- that is a good sign. Her loss yesterday wasn't that surprising as Barbara is really quite a powerful player who I think has underachieved in some ways partially due to injuries. Too bad about Jelena's loss- that was a heart breaker!!!!

well I saw the match, and I must say I lost at least ten years of my life. I was soooooo devastated Jelena couldn't pull through. She deserved it. The match was spectacular. anywayz, congrats to Schwartz and Austria.
And I saw us in the final already.
