Shenay's match with Mashona should either be a doozy or festival of unforced errors. Good match though against Aloyna though, it looked they both were evenly matched.

I think Shenay should get by but I am wondering, does Perry need to work on her serve? Her 1st percentage her last two matches seem to be rather poor and she is not gonna beat the higher ranked players serving less than 50%.

I like Shenay a lot, but I hope she loses tomorrow. Mashona needs the point and money far more than Shenay does. And Shenay will have many more chances to qualify. She's young and talented and Mashona is a journeywomen who is reaching her last stages on tour.
Damn, it's only January and already I have my nomination for most ridiculous comment of the year.

Gag me Bradshaw.........:bounce:

God, it is going to be such a waste if Shenay loses to Washington of all people, that is going to annoy me like nothing else... win or lose, Mashona's career is going nowhere, while Shenay needs that shot of confidence to get her own young career on track. Shenay is the far better player but i'm not at all sure she'll win tomorrow...

in terms of 1st serve percentage, which is better? Serving pumpkins at 80%, or hitting lots of aces and service winners at 50%? I think the second one. Shenay goes for a lot on her 1st serve.

But I don't think just going for her serve is gonna get her far into the Open draw. I've not seen Shenay play yet but if she is the type that just goes for her serve without backing it up without some sort of placement...............well she will have a way to go before she challenges the top.

mashona and her family are wealthy. I'm sure she is not the journeywoman you think she is unless her family cut her off.
