Amazin Amy Frazier advances to Hobart Final!!

HOBART, Australia (AP) - American Amy Frazier beat qualifier Maria Emilia Salerni of Argentina 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 Thursday to advance to the final at the Moorilla International.

Frazier will face sixth-seeded Shinobu Asagoe of Japan. Asagoe beat Kristina Brandi of Puerto Rico 5-7, 6-4, 6-4, in the other semifinal.

Frazier, 31, has won six WTA Tour singles titles in her long professional career.

Just glad to see the "old" girl is still plugging away and competing. Not sure if it's realistic but if this is to be Amy's last year I hope she can go out with a bang and finish perhaps in the top 25 or better.

A win over Asagoe just might give her the confidence to do so.

Yes..i agree and lets not forget that Amy was out for 3 months after the Ausie Open with an Ankle injury..so she has MEGA points to accumulate! maybe she can pull a Tauziat or Farina Elia and have ibe if her best years in her early 30s :bounce: :bounce: :hearts: :kiss: :bounce: :bounce: :cool:
