That`s a beautiful trophy(vase). Monica seems to be happy with it too

I go walking in my sleep
Through the desert of the truth
To the river so deep
We all end in the ocean
We all start in the streams
We're all carried along
By the river of dreams

and i breathe you, into my heart and pray for the strength to stand today
cos i love you whether im wrong or right, though i cant be with you tonight
my heart is by your side

i dont want to run away but i cant take it i dont understand
if im not made for you then why does my heart tell me that i am

Question

hello guys, does this vase the trophy for Monica?? Then its quite strange, I prefer a more normal trophy

i donīt like this vase, it is good for flowers but no as trophy!

Something was bound to go right sometime today, All these broken pieces fit together to make a perfect picture of us
It got cold and then dark so suddenly and rained, It rained so hard the two of us were the only thing
That we could see for miles and miles
And in the middle of the flood I felt my worth, When you held onto me like I was your little life raft
Please know that you were mine as well
Drops of water hit the ground like God's own tears
And spread out into shapes like Salad bowls and basins and buckets for bailing out the flood

Monica certainly seems to like it, i found this quote on Tennisinternet

On the trophy "It's a beautiful trophy, one of the prettiest I've won in all my titles. It seems to be all hand painted, and I am going to take very good care of it at home".

"I probably respect Monica more than any other player out there. Not only as a player, but also as a good friend, and an amazing person. I was so happy to see her play well last week, and then score some big upsets here this week. But I was also very happy to close it out in two sets, because as we've seen these past few weeks, Monica never gives up." - Lindsay Davenport after defeating Monica Seles to win the estyle.com Classic title

Cool

thanks Tennisfan . But I don't know if they have put Monica's name onto the vase? otherwise it doesn't seem liked a proper trophy?

That is a nice vase!!!!!

Maybe they thought it would be a functional trophy???? I have no clue. Have they always done it like this?????

I'd prefer a trophy, personally. Monica has enough money to BUY a vase like that.

Just an observation. Monica keeps her trophies in boxes in the garage, and has commented on this several times over the years. I've gotten the distinct impression that she feels displaying them is not her...(humble).

It seems by her comments here, that the vase (which is indeed lovely) will not suffer the same fate as her trophies. So for Monica, it seems a better fit than the more traditional trophies.

EC! I was just going to ask that!

Well, for this one, I think she'll make an exception.

If not, she can always give it to me!
