Caro has had one of the most pedestrian seasons ever for a top 5 player. It's almost criminal she even managed to worm her way to #4 seed.

Ugh, the minute I saw her with a strapped thigh in Cincy I knew it was a bad sign.
God I hope she enters the USO bandage free....cuz I damn know too well the injuries that bothers her will not go away....

what about the likes of Radwanska then? She's one of the skinniest players, she certainly doesn't have any weight to cut down on whatsoever, yet she's one of the most(if not the most) heavily strapped players on tour?

Goldenlox...that Caro is the #4 seed says more about the rest of the top 10, than it says about Caro. I mean...that she can go WORSE during the summer HC than she did last year and still nab the #4 seed...

No offense, clearly you didnt follow her in past years.

And obviously their attitude or the public opinion changes a lot how we see two completely different players with similar problems.

Well, it's not because driving drunk increases the risk for accidents that sober drivers never have an accident. Plus players like Aga and Woz have been playing too many tournaments for their entire careers, and sooner or later that catches up with you. That's why they hardly can get through a match anymore without a injury or a niggle here or there. Same for Clijsters who played even more than Aga and Woz in her first career. What you do too much of in the front end of your career you pay for in the back end. But Azarenka has always been prone to injuries, no matter what her weight was. Everyone is different.

That is what she tried at the beginning of the year, rushing to the net like "crazy". People were in awe, but many ( probably including her and team) didnt consider how this cant be a legit tactic on long term and just a flashy surprise element of the moment.
And as surfaces and weeks gone by titleless she probably even lost confidence in it.

There is no perfect way to manage the amount of tournaments you play.
Sharapova is injured. She doesnt over play.
Wozniacki went to Stanford injured, so it happened during her month off.
Wozniacki should have converted some of those many many breakpoints in set 2 and then got rid of Vika herself.
But it just helped Pavs get some points

I dont give a fuck about 4 seed, or 9 seed.
I want Serena in the other half and a good week 1 draw. Put Vika with Serena.

WTF does Wozniakci have to do with this result thread. Go to search: TYPE "R1/R2 def. Wozniacki" and that´s your place.
Corswandt and eDonkey like this.

I am not a fan of the direction a lot of Maria threads have taken over the last 12 months.
The undertone is very disappointing, aggressive and the comments are sometimes rude to a player just trying to earn a living, playing her hardest and having a good amount of success given her god given, natural talents.
You made the list: NEW President Bouchard, Cibulkova, Mladenovic, Wozniacki, Kerber, Cornet, Watson, Broady.
