So is Maggie the better player than Venus indoors?

She has won all her indoor meetings with Venus. I think it's fair to say her domination over Venus "indoors" is official.
I made a silly thread about her domination over Venus but I didn't mean to refer to any surface. Now, it's just about indoor matches.
what do you think?
Why is Maggie so good against her? What does she do differently to deal with her power?

I dont think so!!!

I have never given up and it's important for me to prove to myself that I can do this, and to prove to me that i'm a champion.
If I were just to sit down, lay down and give in, then I wouldn't have any respect for myself."

Maggie is like Meghann in a way. You know getting all pumped up to face the great Venus Williams and forgetting that its the title that matters in the end of the day.

Always bet on black!

So, if I understand what the Williams fans here want to say, is that whoever you beat, the most important is winning titles?

What about the excuses about the "asterisk" at the US Open because the Williams sisters weren't there?

Wrong example, juju_fan. Some playerss fan wanna make a big deal when their players beat a Williams, when in the end they didnt win the tournament anyways. Beating a Williams shouldnt be the point, the point should be WINNING the tournament.

Justine winning the Open?! Interesting, because prior to this year Justine has NEVER been past the fourth round and has never beaten the the winner/finalists of the past two years and the winnres for four straigth years on hardcourts.

But no asterix...winning is winning.

Always bet on black!

So you believe that Mrs.Henin-Hardenne would've been content with beating Serena and losing the French to Kim?

The fact that neither sister whom have owned the title from 99'-02'
weren't there in 03' gives some credence to the argument of that "asterisk". It's not as if they didn't want to contend.

So, sure the Belgians beat those who attended
and for that they earned the title. The "aterisk" comes in that the two most dominant players weren't there. Sure, maybe it might not have made a difference if they were but, they weren't and their will always be some speculation as to weather or not Henin-Hardenne who has never beaten either sister on the surface which the title was contested could've won if they were present.

Henin-Hardenne won fair and square against all whom
were in attendence.
