What should happen for 2004 to be a great year?

I've got a couple of things in mind.

Monica comes back strong to delight her fans and everyone.

At least one player threatens the Willams/Belgian domination. It doesn't matter who it is.

The Williams sisters stay healthy and thus are able to play more tournaments producing more meetings on a variety of surfaces with the Belgians.

Venus and Capriati finally face off.

All the ten players plus Monica, Mary and Anna stay healthy the entire season and play all the major tournaments.

And of course Hingis comes back!

Less injuries to the Willis, Lindsay, Jenny, Momo, esp. Anna K. Continued progress from Nastya, Alyona, Nadya, Vera, Lina, Lena B, Masha, Dinara Sveta, Casanova, MGM and Myri. More WC in the GS-Qual for the junior players. Then at least they have an extra tourney. The young players are needed, because most players on the silver list have had more off than good performances.

Venus gets ore competitive against Serena, at least as competitive as her sister.

More top players take part in Fed Cup.

I agree, this is a nice thread.
Monica wins Wimbledon, Tatiana Panova and all my favourites who haven't won a title win their first title, Venus beats Serena every time they play, less injuries to everyone. Also, Martina Navratilova wins a medal at the Olympics.

Dementieva Keothavong Clijsters V. Williams Mattek

to make 2004 a great year for me personally is for the wiliams sisters and seles to come back with a bang.

davenport and capriati to win a grandslam (unlikely i know!!)

maleeva and pierce to get back into the top 20!

and for majoli, lucic and kournikova to get their act together and win tournaments!!!!

and a british women to win matches in the main draws!!

Easy: less injuries to my Williams-girls....that alone will take care of everything else.

Martina to comeback (and win RG)
Monica to win Wimbledon (ok, that's not likely, i'll settle for any slam)
Lindsay to win a slam
Anna to play better
Kim to win a slam too

A single flow'r he sent me, since we met./All tenderly his messenger he chose;
Deep-hearted, pure, with scented dew still wet - One perfect rose.
I knew the language of the floweret;/'My fragile leaves,' it said, 'his heart enclose.'
Love long has taken for his amulet/One perfect rose.
Why is it no one ever sent me yet/One perfect limousine, do you suppose?
Ah no, it's always just my luck to get/One perfect rose.

No, I didn´t mean in an arrogant way. I meant to say that with the williamses back that there is gonna be more good/great matches.

I´m looking forward to more Belgians vs Williamses clashes, because right now they are the best players.
