Lightbulb Would you like to see a Martina-Martina exhibition match?

From the above pic, I remember hearing Hingis to being keen on playing an exhibition match against Navratilova.

I would like to see that doubles, both martina's on court same time, same team, it would be good. I dont know who i would want to play them though, thats if anybody would.

The next big thing: Voegele

As I remember it, what Navratilova was saying she wanted to do was play with Hingis as her partner, because then she feels she would have done everything of significance in doubles.

They have already faced each other across the net, both in singles and doubles. The singles match up was just an exhibition match in Italy when Hingis was about 12.

But they actually played a tour doubles match against each other, I think in 2001. Navratilova and Sanchez-Vacario played Hingis and Kournikova in a match in Germany, either at Filderstadt, Hamburg or Berlin, I don't remember which.

Martina and Anna won in straight sets.

But I would love to see the two Martinas playing as a team in a doubles match.

You would then, in my opinion, have the two greatest doubles players in history on the same side of the net.

Martina & Hingis played a singles exhibition in 1994 in Florence when Martina was 38 and Hingis was 14. Martina won 6-2 6-2.

Martina & Hingis as doubles partner. Man, that would be the ULTIMATE doubles-team. If there was a team I´d say the Williamses can´t beat, it´d be that team.

Always bet on black!

they could be partners in an exhibition match but in real competition, Hingis would go for a more "powerful" partner. Navy, doesn't have that power anymore.

I agree they'd make an interesting doubles team, but in general I'm not into exhibition matches so Martina vs. Hingis really doesn't do anything for me.

Reason is poor propaganda when opposed by the yammering, unceasing lies of shrewd and evil and self-serving men.
