Sorry to start another "what if" thread.
The one I wish I could change is the '96 Wimby Semifinal between Kimiko and Steffi. I really wish Kimiko would have won that one..
What about yours?

Good topic

#1. The 1974 U.S Open final, wWhere Goolagong narrowly lost to King.

#2. The 1991 Wimbledon final that Sabatini almost won over Graf.

Evonne Goolagong, winner of 7 Grand Slam Singles Titles

Wimbledon 2003 r1

Ai Sugiyama bt Lucie Ahl 36 64 64

Lucie lead in 3rd set 3-1 30-30 and fluffed a backhand pass, she then had 2 points for a break to go up 4-3.

Had she won she'd ahve achieved a career high ranking in the top 140, and had a good chance to make r3 against Fislova.

After losing she retired, she's been so close to making a breakthrough against top 30 players, but always came up just short and decided that was her last chance to make top 100.

I would like her to have made that backhand pass, or broken Ai at 3-3 and won it, so my favourite player would still be around.

Yep, I think the ONE thing I´d have reverted is making that the stabbing didn´t happen.

GRAF DEF. HINGIS 99' FO FINAL 4-6, 7-5, 6-2. It wasn't supposed to be that way!!!!!!!! Martina should have won, the crowd treated her like shit(the same way they treated Serena this year) and that match was THE DEFINING MATCH OF MARTINA HINGIS' CAREER. Whether you choose to believe it or not, that match turned Hingis' career around into one of a short lived tragedy! Had she won that match, she would not have lost first round wimbledon, would not have relinguished her throne, and most of all, would not have so much mental problems closing out matches(this match led to all her loses in finals of grand slams and losing to Capriati at the 02 Aus. Open). This match is the one match that if I could, I would turn it around, The scoreline should have been 6-4, 6-4. For goodness sakes, Martina served for the damn match and was up like 6-4, 5-3. Why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hunger, desire, fire..........
stength, power, precision.........
talent, court sense, smartness........
no i am not talking about a racket or a squirrel, i am talking about the former and future number 1..............
martina hingis!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Luck Justine Henin Hardenne, Venus Williams, Maria Sharapova, Mary Pierce, and any of my other favorites that I might have forgotten about at this moment.
