got the Official list in order as they are for 2004.
knew who had the WC's already but not the list order

thats what the tourn directors decide who is more worthy, who'll be a better attraction (List was done using ranks after 2003 US Open)

Thanks for the list, Eggy!

I have to agree with Knizzle. The tournament directors supposedly rank these by their drawing power. Monica would have to be considered a bigger draw than anyone in the two groups in front of her (7-10, 11-13). Curious.

me either, knizzle... especially the 3 ranked right above her. they aren't about to be drawing crowds like monica anytime soon... but then again, monica is ranked 60.

im surprised Kim and Juju are ahead of Serena and Venus.....both belgians should be 3rd behind Jennifer....and Monica should at least be 4th

In my opinion they did a pretty good job with the list this time; Monica should be higher though.

For once I completely agree with the selection of wild cards - I would pick the same ones.

yep it means something, sort of like little groups.
players 14-20 don't get too much which is why its a little suprising to see Monica below even Coetzer.
