That's strange looks like Monica had her most productive year as fas as wins are concerned in 91, but lost to that German girl ea. time they played.

p.s.

Kim had a great year......for her! Not a great year in any historical perspective, not even recent history.

"Hatred is the coward's revenge for being intimidated" - George Bernard Shaw

"And for the best of the teen-agers who followed her, and who occasionally referred to her as over the hill, Graf had a ready answer: against top-ranked Martina Hingis, Graf wound up 7-2. Graf's stirring 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 throttling of Hingis at the French Open final this June was perhaps the most emphatic parting shot the game has ever seen. "

You just can't get over your obsession, Gunther.

Tarzan, I'm sorry for the confusion. I was referring to Monica's year in 1991, not saying she had won 91 matches.

If Kim win later today, she did have won 9 tournaments in one year!

15 finals and 4 semi-finals

How many from the current player did that in one year?

Tell me how much?

Yeah and Hingis won 12 in 97 including those oh so elusive Grand Slam titles.

Watch next year Da Forehand..........while Kim played 13 matches in three grand slams average......while the other Top 3 played only 6 or 7 matches.

That will change next year!

She'll eat them all as lunch

Billie Jean King won about 117 matches in singles in 1971. I think she has the record in the Open era Evert won more than 100 matches in 1974.
