i have only gone to one pro event [this year's us open which i attended with my brother and his girlfriend]

the best match i went to was Vera Zvonareva def. Ashley Harkleroad 6-3, 4-6, 6-1... by the second set... the entire aurthur ashe stadium was vibrating people were cheering for ashley so loudly

even my brother and his girlfriend [who had been neutral at all the matches i attended that day] found themselves vocally cheering for ashley

i called my friend who put on usa and i told her to listen... i cheered for ashley and she otld me she heard me on tv!!!... that was so awesome

the second best match was the second set of hantuchova def. vakulenko

Hantuchova vs. Martinez at the 2001 Fed Cup final stands out, even though neither player is a favourite of mine.

Other than that, any of the five times I've seen Lleyton Hewitt beaten

~ gonna teach you tricks that'll blow your mongrel mind ~

the best match i have seen was wimbledon quarter- finals in 99 when davenport bt novotna.

davenport passing shots and groundstrokes were AMAZING! novotna not at her best but still played well (she was defending champ)

i've seen alot of other players, but i think davenport has the best groundstrokes when at her best. she hit the ball so cleanly, and places the ball very well on the other side of the court

Kim def. Venus 1-6 6-3 6-4 (Hamburg final 2002)

But there are other memorable ones, for example:

Appelmans def. Boogert 7-5 3-6 9-7 (Wimbledon 2000)
Barna def. Schnyder 2-6 6-4 6-4 (Hamburg 2002)
