Let's congratulate Justine (My plea for peace)
Let's face it. Altough she dissed my jenny today, she deserves that #1 spot if you look at it objectively. Winnig 2 slams, 4 Tier I's, 2 Tier II's staying fit all season, playing that many matches. Tennis is not only about the ability to play well, but also to realise that and being able to stay fit (eg. Williams). I was hoping to see Kim up there there, but Justine deserves it more.
I just wish all this controversy would end. Ok, so she made a sportive mistake at Roland Garros SF, conscious or unconscious, but that are things that simply happen. She musn't be blamed for that fact her entire career. I'm sure I can tell unsportive facts about nearly any player on the tour. Everybody has negative caracter aspects, but all of the players on tour work very hard day in and day out and we should respect everyone of them.
Congratulations Justine, you deserved to end the year as #1!
Let's hope next season will be extra interesting with both Williamses and Belgians playing all season to decide who's best and not one of the 2 groups dominating. We should thank God, Allah,Buddha or whatever your religions above creature is called, to have such great players! I hope tennis fans simply enjoy the wonderful tennis that is given to them.
I know I made mistakes in the past as well in these times of fan rivalries. For sure I ain't no saint myself, and I apologise if I have ever offended someone...
So far my plea for peace between the all the different fan bases all over the world. Thank you for your attention,
A man may fight for many things. His country, his friends, his principles, the glistening ear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn.
