last May 11th during the German Open finals

Justine Henin-Hardenne beat Kim Clijsters 6/4 4/6 7/5

Virginia Ruano Pascual and Paola Suarez beat Ai Sugiyama and Kim Clijsters 6/3 4/6 6/4

That's nothing compared to Ai's 4 matches in one day in Scottsdale, which probably added up to about 7-8 hours of tennis.

Actually, its because a typical claycourt season for Serena is 2 tournaments. Not a bad idea if your chances are a lot better on decoturf.
