Suppose Venus wins the Champioships, and Serena doesn't play OZ....

... who will the BOOKMAKERS make the favorite at OZ? Think the London books. Vegas IS in the USA.

Not blind. Not uninformed. We are party to atrocities. But the response of the world after 9/11 is worth noting. Even our most dire enemies offered aid. We should all be so lucky.

A man may fight for many things. His country, his friends, his principles, the glistening ear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn.

Venus

This is a complete no brainer. Venus beat Kim with one leg and a kickstand attached to the other.

Let's not even go there with her match-ups against Justine.

Venus. If Venus is in a tournament without Serena, she's the favorite. She's still considered by almost everyone to be the second best player in the world.

Venus would, but then, I don't think Venus will play for the remainder of the year like Serena.

Good Luck Radwanska Sisters!

Sorana Cirstea - Stefanie Voegele - Michelle Larcher de Brito - Alexandra Dulgheru

Martina I will miss you!!

Whilst I believe that Venus will play the YEC, I've got a sneaky feeling that she won't be winning. I don't mind if she does, but I think she may be shocked by the level of competition around her. I mean if she plays, the other 7 are going to see it as the best opportunity to defeat Venus (rustiness, etc.)

But good luck Venus, I just hope she is well and can actually play pain-free!
