And she is indeed very tall, if she ever improves her foot work and court coverage the rest of the Tour better watch out, she can pretty much overpower most of the other girls with a beautiful one-hand backhand ...
I saw her at the College Park 25K event, where she made the final
Obviously with such a big body her movement will always be suspect (a la Davenport) but yes, she hits the ball as hard as anyone on Tour, period. The problem is that she misses a lot, but it seems like she's getting more consistent.
She'll be Top 200 next week...I think this will be her first time there
And she has now made the QF of Tashkent twice...her best performances on Tour by far have come in the Uzbek capital
Skavronskaia is like a Davenport clone (she's just as big as Linzy!!), except with a one handed bh. Very dangerous player, but she maybe lacks confidence because she's relatively old (23 or 24) and never has played at the top level, just challengers and futures.
