Sounds like a dumb question but hear me out...I know you have rookies and veterans...what lies in between? Is a player a vet following her rookie season?
Is it just number of years on the tour? How many years?
Is it accomplishment? If a player wins a grand slam in her second year on the tour is she a vet?
Of the current top 15...who do you consider to be veterans? I know Jen, Linds, Venus, Serena(?)....so on but are the Belgians vets?
id say at least 8-10 years on the tour is a veteran

A man may fight for many things. His country, his friends, his principles, the glistening ear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn.
I think experience makes a player a veteran along with some years on tour. Juju is very close to veteran status in my eyes because she has experienced slam finals and experienced winning them twice and just has more experience than Clijsters.
