what a shockin result!! myskina and zvonereva have never had much doubles success, have trhey? and theyre not the best volleyers.. maybe new suarez/pasciual?

That IS unexpected. Vera/Nastya usually lose 1st round when they play together... Maybe they finally are starting to feel more comfortable playing doubles together. They should play together more.

navratilova/kuznetsova didnt play particularly well. and the russians playerd great doubles, including volleying well.
