OMG I just came back from watching some of the match and all everyone was talking about was how white she is...LOL...then she had her face painted in sunscreen, it was quite a scene.

I remember Amy Frazier pulling out of the Mahwah Classic final in NJ over 10 years ago when she learned that she had to play Steffi Graf in the final and didn't want to get killed. Ironic- isn't it Amy Frazier who won the last match Graf attempted to play and had to retire in San Diego in 1999?

I have always liked Amy very much. Often erratic with her results she has nevertheless been (usually) in the Top 50 for 15 years - amazing! And she pulls off surprising results year after year. She has some surprising head-to-head leads over much better players, too - for example Mary Pierce, Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario, Pam Shriver to name but three. Plus wins over Monica when she was No.1, Hingis when SHE was No.1 and of course that final defeat of Steffi's career. Also she has always been one of the most sporting players as well as about the most fan-friendly... When she does decide to call it a day I shall really miss unassuming Amy!
