Should Lindsay just pull out?

I think she should just let it go. Tracy said she was limping, and she will eventually have to retire in some match anyways. I just think she feels this pressure to show up not to dissapoint the organizers. However, I feel that she needs to just pull out before it gets worse.

limping right now?

she still can move els and some others around enough I think to advance to the quarters

A man may fight for many things. His country, his friends, his principles, the glistening ear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn.

lindsay will know if and when its time to pull out.

if she's limping right now and is still up 6-1 3-0 then she can limp the whole way through the tournament for all i care

Att ta ut, att ta in i någonting nytt

I don't understand why some people think she should risk further injury just to get to the qtrs where she will have to retire in a match because of pain. I think she should really just pull out.

Harloo, from what I understand Lindsay is ending her season, and maybe her career after this year's US Open. Based on this, I doubt she'll retire.

well no, basically it doesnt matter when exactly she pulls out or gets beaten. she can totally wreck her foot till she can go no further because she'll have the operation right after the open anyway. it's not like she should pull out not to endanger the rest of her season. she knows this is one of the last chances she'll get to winning a GS so why not try to go all the way?

Where did you hear this one from? I never heard about this, I cannot believe Lindsay is retiring after the USO.

LOL

No one leading 6-1 5-0 (in only 40 minutes!) should consider pulling out of anything.

she'll most definitely end her season after the open but i dont think she said anything about retiring completely. i dont think she will cause in her last interview she mentioned she might play again in new haven next year.

She has a nerve DISORDER, NOT INJURY in her foot, it is impossible for to injure it further. My wife has the same thing, and all 3 doctors we have seen have said the same thing, you can do as much as the pain will allow, you cant injure it any further. If the cortisone shots don't work, then you can have surgery to remove the nerve. Lynsd will play or pull out at she chooses, not by what you think!

she wasn't limping constantly, she only staggers a little bit after serving since she comes out of her serve on her bad foot, it's only normal to limp a little bit, but when she's walking or playing, its not like shes limping to every single ball

Lindsay played so well today. If her foot is ok, she really has a chance - judging by her form last week against Dementieva and this week against Callens. Lindsay all the way!
