Paging Pam Shriver: Would you please tell your friend Mary Carillo that Justine was a

finalist at Wimbledon. She just did the vaunted CBS US Open preview and described Justine as a two-time semi-finalist at Wimbledon. Okay, but what about the final?

You'd think Carillo would just know this. Does she not watch tennis herself? Maybe they don't staff the media positions with tennis fans because they wouldn't keep their minds on their jobs during the tournament. There has to be some reason they get so much wrong.

Pam, I'm counting on you to set her straight.

Mary

I always loved her, but she's not on top of things the way she used to be.

that's alright, she said many nice things about Kim's, Jen's, Lindsay's chances, but the most important thing she said in her preview was that Justine had the best chance to get her 2nd slam of the year

Mary was probably on the plane back to the states when that match took place I think JohnnyMac, Chrissie and somebody else (Cliff Drysdale?) called that match for NBC.

btw, OF COURSE she knows that Justine made the finals of wimbledon, she isn't an idiot, she just chose to say it differently

do you people have ears or what????? i heard everything Mary said and she said that Justine made it to the semis of both the Australian Open and Wimbledon, she was ONLY TALKING ABOUT THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she said she made the semis at the other slams, excluding of course the one she did win. Mary isn't like that, she knows her stuff

Jelena Dokic.Vera Zvonareva.Tatiana Golovin.Mary Pierce.Monica Seles.Martina Hingis.Anna Kournikova
