Question Is Anna Really Injured?

Becasue I am watching the Skills Challenge at the Arthur Ash Kids day and she looked like she was all right to me, the way she was swinging the racquet and I am sure the swing had to affect her back?

I'm wondering about that too-- then again it doesn't mean she could play a full match and have full mobility.

Speaking from experience -- and everybody's injuries are different -- sometimes it is the repetitive movement that exacerbates the pain in the back. Sometimes the pain is at a low level, and you think it is better but when put under stress, you find the same problem returns. Backs can take an enormously long time to heal even for a young person.

But I don't know what her problem is. I don't know if it is muscular or muscular/skeletal. I think she is really injured though from the reports I have read about her leaving the practice court in tears etc.

Exclamation

The question may be if she really wants to play becasue her modeling career pays a lot more than her tennis career.

How was Anna doing?

And answering the thread title I'm sure she is injured, or she would be playing tournaments right now.

Chronic back injuries are a pain in the ass. She is injured, believe me! Some days, it's fine. The day after, it's horrible.. It's a lot like Lindsay's foot..

Well, also speaking from experience, usually high heels aren't quite the thing to wear when you have a back injury.

Last year, Anna won that challenge and this year she finished co-3rd with Chanda with $25,000

Is Serena really injured? Cause I heard she was just faking it cause her acting was paying her a lot more then tennis....

Like Serena would miss the US Open for acting.

who cares is anna is really injured or not, it's not like her presence in the field would have been a factor.

"And for the best of the teen-agers who followed her, and who occasionally referred to her as over the hill, Graf had a ready answer: against top-ranked Martina Hingis, Graf wound up 7-2. Graf's stirring 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 throttling of Hingis at the French Open final this June was perhaps the most emphatic parting shot the game has ever seen. "

Yes, I really think she is injured. From watching her WTT tournament conferences, she was angry over the implication that she didn't love the sport and I got the feeling that she genuinely wants to play. Back injuries are difficult to deal with and constant repetitive movement can make them extremely difficult to deal with. I'm hoping that she and Soloman will reunite in December and Anna comes back strong in January. As for the high heels, they can aggravate a back problem, but I've known women with back and ankle problems who absolutely insist on wearing them regardless. Some ladies are a slave to fashion and I'm sure that Anna is no different! LOL! BTW, Enrique was on Access Hollywood the other day and admitted that he and Anna lived together.

I think she really wants to play and I hope she does soon. I also saw where she will try to play in Bali in a few weeks. I wish her all the best and hope she comes back and does well soon. Get well Anna
