Yikes will Serena be available for Fed Cup -v- the Belgians?

Hopefully Venus will play, who else among the US players would make themselves available?

Could Venus/Chanda and the other Americans take out the Belgian squad?

"And for the best of the teen-agers who followed her, and who occasionally referred to her as over the hill, Graf had a ready answer: against top-ranked Martina Hingis, Graf wound up 7-2. Graf's stirring 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 throttling of Hingis at the French Open final this June was perhaps the most emphatic parting shot the game has ever seen. "

Serena should be healthy, but as to whether she will play..... Venus and one of the other Americans could take out the Belgians. Venus should be able to win both of her matches, and then partner with another good doubles player to win the third match if needed.

I would love to see Venus play dubs. w/Raymond, Stevenson. Those who went to Fed Cup here in D.C. said Alex was great in her dubs match.

come on we all know they only played to get olympic tickets. that's their choice of course but I doubt they will change that now!

They didn't have to play this year they are defending Olympic Champions. Venus benefits from the fine tuning BJK brings to her game.

Williams and defending champions sound so good.

Anyway, I'm sure Venus will play if Serena can't. A sister = guaranteed.

Williams x2 Clijsters Golovin Ivanovic Li Jackson
Federer Blake Fish Roddick Grosjean Bryans x2
