I want Venus in Kim's half of the draw.

It's the only way to keep the "excuse quotient" at an endurable level. Not decent, just endurable.

You have to answer for Santino, Carlo.

You must mean the excuses that Kim and her fans will make if she loses.

This way, Venus will have to beat TWO Belgians to win the title. I think Justine will make the final if she is not on Venus' side. I think Kim will make the finals if she is not on Venus' side.

Hell, the Belgians could very well make the finals in spite of Venus, but I garantee that the one that meets Venus will be considered to have a MUCH tougher draw!

Oh, In case you forgot, Jennifer Capriati will ALSO be a force in this tourney.

I don't see Jen as a likely difference-maker here.

And I can see Kim lose to Venus without making excuses. Probably not even half of Venus fans could say the same if the roles were reversed.

You have to answer for Santino, Carlo.

I am still trying to figure out how Kim could lose to an obviously injured Venus at Wimbeldon.

Of course, there is also the "injury excuse". I guess the best defence I can hope for against that is Venus beating Jennifer in the Quarters. Lindsay would also do, but of course she will not even be in the same half as Venus.

You have to answer for Santino, Carlo.

1 vs 8 Kim vs Chanda
5 vs 4 Amelie vs Venus
3 vs 6 Lindsay vs Jen
2 vs 7 Justine vs Anastasia

This is how it supposed to be!

I guess Venus wasn't injured enough. Kim wasn't exactly the picture of health when she beat Venus in Hamburg. Half the matches Monica has won in the past 4 years she was injured. It can be done.

No rhz, tennis doesn't seed that way. Anyone in the top 4 can match against anyone in the next 4.

You have to answer for Santino, Carlo.

The only problem with doing that in tennis is it wouldn't be fair. You'd see too much of the same players against each other. For instance, Venus and Lindsay would probably have played each other at Wimbledon, again now at the US Open, and probably again at the Aus Open.

You have to answer for Santino, Carlo.
