How will Monica Seles be remembered?!

Now that it´s clear and obvious that the end is near for Monica Seles the question rises: How will she be remembered in history?! As one of the great champions or as a poor victim?!

The final script is yet to be written. Let's not be so quick to write her off.

"Hatred is the coward's revenge for being intimidated" - George Bernard Shaw

"And for the best of the teen-agers who followed her, and who occasionally referred to her as over the hill, Graf had a ready answer: against top-ranked Martina Hingis, Graf wound up 7-2. Graf's stirring 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 throttling of Hingis at the French Open final this June was perhaps the most emphatic parting shot the game has ever seen. "

ONE OF THE GREATEST CHAMPION.

She have done so much for the woman tennis, I am sure she will be remembered as a women who started to hit the ball hard and more and more younger players now plays with both hands.

SO LIKE A BIG CHAMPION.

SHE IS STILL PLAYING TENNIS SO SHE WILL DO EVEN MORE FOR TENNIS.

MONIKA

- VICTORIA BECKHAM

- SARAJEVO - BiH

- Mervana Jugić-Salkić ( 24-5 )

She has accomplished too much already to be considered a poor victim...

People realise well enough she was far more than just another player!

i think she will be remembered more for the COMEBACK than for her being stabbed. she is a courageous, one-of-a-kind champion. she won't be a hall of famer because of pity... she has enough qualifications in a matter of 3 years to get 3 players inducted.

maybe a beloved champion...

Only reason I implied poor victim, is because after her comeback from the stabbing she wasn´ t the same player and perhaps people would pitty her for that.

some ppl will remember her as the poor little girl who was kickin ass who got stabbed. but as long as they remember WHY she was stabbed, they will know she is an all time great and a true pioneer in the highest profile women's sport on the planet.

I think people should remember Monica as an innocent victim, rather than a poor victim. Monica would probably not want our pity, even though I am sure we do all feel sorry for her. Monica is a legend and her amazing 1990-1993 will be remembered but she will always be connected to the stabbing and how she was robbed of fulfilling her potential. But her fans will always have the positives to remember her by
