The Daughters of Dissappointment

Code:
Suarez def Bovina 2-6 7-5 7-5

Only three short months ago, Bovina was
the blonde Russina miost likely to make
the top ten. Her 'fans' seem to have
forgotten her name.

Kuznetsova def Dokic 4-6 7-6 6-3

It's not that I don't want to give
Kuznetsova credit, but Dokic seems
intent on proving she isn't even a top
TWENTY player.

Pratt def Daniilidou 6-2 6-7 6-3

Not only has Daniilidou failed to defeat
a top 20 player this year, she's losing
to players who aren't even top 50!

Sydney 32 L RAYMOND 4-6 6-4 3-6
Australian Open 16 L S. WILLIAMS 4-6 1-6
Paris SF L S. WILLIAMS 2-6 0-6
Dubai 16 L MARTINEZ 4-6 7-6 2-6
Scottsdale QF L SUGIYAMA 5-7 5-7
Indian Wells 32 L SHAUGHNESSY 4-6 3-6
Miami 32 L WEINGARTNER 6-7 3-6
Warsaw 16 L SCHIAVONE 1-6 1-6
Berlin 16 L ZVONAREVA 5-7 6-4 4-6
Rome 32 L KUZNETSOVA 3-6 2-6
Strasbourg 32 L KRASNOROUTSKAYA 3-6 6-3 3-6
Roland Garros 32 L SCHNYDER 3-6 4-6
Birmingham SF L MALEEVA 3-6 7-5 4-6
Eastbourne 32 L PISTOLESI 2-6 6-7
Wimbledon 64 L PIERCE 4-6 1-6
Stanford 16 L SCHIAVONE 3-6 2-6
San Diego 32 L HENIN-HARDENNE 1-6 1-6
Los Angeles 32 L Pratt

Yes she has a win over Dokic, but as i said above,
Dokic is not performimg like even a top 20 player,
so she doesn't really count.

Paris QF W DOKIC (YUG) 6-1 6-3

Proud to be an American
Not blind. Not uninformed. We are party to atrocities. But the response of the world after 9/11 is worth noting. Even our most dire enemies offered aid. We should all be so lucky.

Yeah, and look how many times the resulting sour grapes have gotten Leena banned here!

all 3 have been slumping this season but they have been doing it for so long the question is are they slumping, having a let down year (after some sort of breakthrough last year) or is this their normal level of play (in other words is it really a slump or will they remain at this level)?

i hope they are just slumping and i think dokic and bovina are just slumping but eleni although she may be slumping i don't think she will ever become a top top player like bovina and dokic could become. actually i think dokic has to work her game out after dumping the coach because he changed so much of her game. i would like to see her get her old groundies and serve back but come to the net every now and then. but at the moment she has a lot of topspin on her shots. why change her shots? they were so good she just needed to get in more and with her old strokes the approach will be easier because the shot will penetrate more so she would get an easier volley than if she puts topspin on her shots.

Go the aussies! stosur!!!
and good luck russians: dementieva, safina, kirilenko, sharapova, kuznetsova, bovina, zvonareva, dushevina.

also good luck to: azarenka, lucic, sprem, vakulenko, vaidisova, safarova, ivanovic, groenefeld, mirza, krajicek, kvitkova, larcher de brito, lisicki.
