Question Kim #1 this monday?

Can Kim still earn enough bonuspoints to get to #1? I was wondering because Rubin and Petrova are out...

Come on Kim!!!!!!!!

The only thing that can spoil it, is that she goes out sooner and that none of the top 25 - players win their matches. I don't think there's much chance of that (the last thing) happening.

In the worst scenario (Loit, Sharapova, Kuznetsova, Pratt, Kutuzova) she will earn 195 + 10 + 8 + 15 + 8 + 1 = 237

In the best scenario (Loit, Sharapova, Dokic, Martinez, Davenport) she will earn 195 + 10 + 8 + 35 + 35 + 55 = 338

Worst scenario: 5911 - 170 + 237 = 5978

Best scenario: 5911 - 170 + 338 = 6079

Serena has 5995

Kim has to win the tournemant and can't face the lowest ranked players.

You're welcome, I hope I didn't make a mistake. I will try to update if anything changes regarding the worst and best scenario.

Pratt just upset Eleni. With Chanda pulling out, it really seems like the universe is making it tough for Kim to get the #1 ranking.

Prayed through the nights
felt so alone
suffered from alienation
carried the weight on my own
Had to be strong
so I believed
and now I know I've succeeded
in finding the place I conceived

Kim facing Pratt in the semi's would be the worst scenario. I mean that's the lowest ranked player still left she could face.

No she hasn't lost yet, she faces Pratt tomorrow. Martinez is the highest ranked opponent that Kim can face in the semi-final, let's hope she wins.

according to this calculattion,
95-78=18 points for quality point margins....
Kutuzova making the final is really a long shot...
TOP 25 left in the bottom half are seeds,
so seeds have to go out before Kim for Serena to stay #1,
replace Nicole with Conchita will also let her become #1,
or even just to beat Dokic will let her become #1...
all these assuming she does win the title of course.....
