Kim's first slam

will come...

A man may fight for many things. His country, his friends, his principles, the glistening ear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn.

Was it the 99 US Open?

"Hatred is the coward's revenge for being intimidated" - George Bernard Shaw

"And for the best of the teen-agers who followed her, and who occasionally referred to her as over the hill, Graf had a ready answer: against top-ranked Martina Hingis, Graf wound up 7-2. Graf's stirring 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 throttling of Hingis at the French Open final this June was perhaps the most emphatic parting shot the game has ever seen. "

It's already past at least four years ago.

She will win the 2004 Australian Open... but not as Kim Clijsters, as Kim Hewitt.

Kim's first Slam will be the Aussie Open, I think the surface and 'hometown' support really lifts her there.

I doubt it will be next year though.

Poor girl. She's going to remain forever slamless.

I'm watching a replay of the Acura semi against Davenport and I cant believe that Kim will never win a slam. She just needs to be at the top of her game and mentally ready on the same day. I think it would be unjust if she didnt get a slam one day (when you think that even Conchita got one for christs sake!).
