I can't fuckin believe this. Just when I thought Mary was getting back into form, she loses to players like Raymond and Tanasugarn

She is just too unpredictable

azarenka - pavlyuchenkova - li - jankovic
garcia - bencic - paszek - rus - kanepi - kuznetsova - stephens
bouchard - karatantcheva - larcher de brito - voegele - lim - mladenovic

mary pierce - forever #1
vaidisova - kournikova - golovin - henin
the boys - federer - gasquet - del potro - haase - nishikori

To be fair, Raymond and Tanasugarn are no slouches, especially on a hard court. They're both in the top 30 (I think) and both matches Mary lost were close. This isn't like earlier in the year when she got bageled by Jie Zheng before winning 6-4 in the third or looking absolutely helpless in getting trampled by Clarisa Fernandez at RG. She's on the right track, as evidenced by her Wimbledon showing and her demolishing of Conchita last week. She just needs time, Mary even said so herself.

I know, Im not taking anything away from Lisa or Tammy, they are great palyers, but you have to admit that Mary, when on her game, would dispatch of both of these players easily. What frusterates me is that I thought Mary was on her game, the way she played her first two matches last week and her fine performance at Wimbledon. With that said, Im dissapointed to see Mary isnt playing that well again. I just hope that nothing is wrong with her.

Maybe it was her eyes that made her lose (which was brought to my attention in the MP Forum). Why do they always have to make Mary play at night

let's be realistic here people...Mary's definetely out of form and still looks like she has given birth to 10 babies....if she's stubborn to stay this way then your hopes are ovaaahhhh.

I think sometimes people underestimate Tanasugarn at her best. Yes she is inconsistant and Mary may have gone in the favourite, but when Tammy is on, boy is she on and especially on hardcourt. Maybe Mary wasn't at her best today and her game suits Tanasugarn, after all it is their first meeting.

Tanasugarn is a very quick player and this sure has frustrated Mary being a bit heavy.
