I hope she does play even if it's just doubles and mixed doubles. But the question is, is Anna going to the VMA awards in late August, during the U.S. Open?

Happiness is like a cat. If you try to coax it or call it, it will avoid you. It will never come. But if you pay no attention to it and go about your business, you'll find it rubbing up against your legs and jumping into your lap. - William Bennett

What the heck is she injured or not?! Her back is well enough to play doubles and mixed doubles, but not well enough to play singles? Doesn't make much sense if you ask me.

it would be awesome if she played doubles even if she didn't play singles. the worst thing that can happen is when a player has to retire from tennis due to an injury.

Go the aussies! stosur!!!
and good luck russians: dementieva, safina, kirilenko, sharapova, kuznetsova, bovina, zvonareva, dushevina.

also good luck to: azarenka, lucic, sprem, vakulenko, vaidisova, safarova, ivanovic, groenefeld, mirza, krajicek, kvitkova, larcher de brito, lisicki.

The back injury is also causing leg problems, which hamper her movement, so in a way it does make sense.

There is no telling what the hell is going on....she needs to concentrate on getting back to singles and getting her ranking back in the 100's.
