Which of the top eight seeds will lose first?

1. S. WILLIAMS
2. CLIJSTERS
3. HENIN-HARDENNE
4. V. WILLIAMS
5. DAVENPORT
7. RUBIN
8. CAPRIATI
9. HANTUCHOVA

For extra credit, why? (Opponent, surface, injury, illness, weather, not enough sex, etc.)

Not blind. Not uninformed. We are party to atrocities. But the response of the world after 9/11 is worth noting. Even our most dire enemies offered aid. We should all be so lucky.

hantuchova: slumpy

A man may fight for many things. His country, his friends, his principles, the glistening ear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn.

There are only eight seeds up there. No Mauresmo.

....This is fucked up, fucked up....

This is your blind spot, blind spot.
It should be obvious, but it's not.

You cannot kickstart a dead horse
You just crush yourself and walk away
I don't care what the future holds
Cause I'm right here in your arms today
With your fingers you can touch me

I'll be your black swan, black swan
I'm for spare parts, broken up.

How about .... the top eight seeds all make the QFs, Jenn gets the earliest match of the day and loses to Serena.

That would do it.
