A lot of the avatars in use on this message board have been stolen and are being used illegally by the owners of this board.

We have sent emails to them which have been ignored.

Unless they respond and remove the stolen photographs,we will post a list of the stolen photographs and any user who uses them from that day will also be liable for copyright infringmenent.

To avoid legal consequences, you are advised not to use avatars.

To avoid promoting the interests of thieves, you are advised to seek an alternative message board.

I took several of the pictures that have been stolen from www.tennis.info.

Having spent a lot of time and money providing these pictures to visitors to this site, I object to them being stolen and my emils being ignored.

Well I hope you learned your lesson. :P

We run the www.tennis.info site. The pictures are there for the enjoyment of visitors to our site.

They are not there to be stolen by the owners of WTAWorld who are too cowardly to respond to our emails.

You should understand that the owners of this site have no right to take our photographs for their commercial profit. We spend a lot of our time and money to take these photographs and it should be simply basic decency that they should not be taken for use by someone else.

Our copyright notice has been removed from our photographs and the owners of this board therefore knew that what they were doing was wrong and illegal. They should have the decency to remove them.

"their commercial profit"?

They aren't making any money off those avatars that you dispute. tell me how they're making a "commercial profit" off them?

It's a pity that you do not appreciate the 'decency' and 'common courtesy' aspects of the discussion....

But, have you noticed any pop-up advertising on this site?

The more popular the site, the more advertising revenue the owners make.

They clearly think that the provision of avatars makes their site more attractive.

Does this help?

Not at all. That's a massive stretch at best. There's absolutely no way you can say that these avatars are increasing the ad revenue of the site because they are bringing more people in. have fun trying to prove that. You can't.

And no, i haven't noticed any pop-up advertising.

Go whine and cry elsewhere.
