The big ?: William Sisters - Wimbeldon

I think it will be very interesting to see how Serena handles herself at Wimbledon, because:

1. Her confidence could be an issue.

2. Other players now believe that can beat her.

3. Will the experience make her more determined, or will we see more nerves?

With Venus:

1. This is her best surface.

2. She needs this more than anyone to bring her own belief back that she can do it.

3. Will she be the player to stop Serena?

What do you all think.

Note: Before anyone responds - I am a fan of both. Please don't read any other motive in my thread that I have not stated. I think the sisters are great for the game, and I actually think it is more interesting since their results have been more mixed.

I don't think confidence will ever be an issue with Serena frankly, though I probably don't know as much about her as many people.

I hope Venus wins out of the two but I wouldn't be surprised at any result this Wimbledon!

If I would be making bets right now...

After all that inJustice that happened in Paris, Wimbledon will be the first tournament ever where I would not mind Serena winning it. Yet, I don't think it is going to happen. To win a Grandslam, a player has to be in a good, balanced state of mind. After RG, I would expect Serena be more agitated than usually, wanting vengeance, thinking that she has something to prove tp those cheating challengers. This kind of emotions never help. I do not think that Serena will win Wimbledon.

Venus. Venus has nothing to prove to anyone except forr herself. She was not booed, didn't face bad sportsmanship, she was not really pissed about anything, she didn't play well and that's all, and that is the perfect foundation for getting things together and bouncing back. And once she starts talking to her opponents in a language of 120 mph serves on grass, everyone may just lay down and die. Venus might win.

Actually, I believe that is why. They booed her as she walked off.

They did mention that it might be because she declined an on-cout interview, but, they still booed her.

In the tape that I saw, it was actually Vera, who got booed at the end, because she refused to sign autographs, didn't thank French crowd for their cordial support and even left the court vefore Venus.

Not from the tape I saw.

On NBC, they showed Venus walking off, passing by cameramen, then the boo's came. Even Mary Carillo remarked that it may be because she didn't want to give an interview.

Yea the interviewer is supposedly a media legend to the French...there was a write up by Jon Wertheim about it.
