Can Ai Sugiyama crack the top ten?

She rose to a new career high of #12 this week. She's sitting at #10 in the race. Having a big year, winning Scottsdale, SF in rome, 4th rouind last week, giving Serena a tough match before going out. Myskina still has a big lead on her, but Dokic's is shrinking, and as said before, she leads both in the race. So how about it? Ai loves grass and hardcourts.... why can't she do it?

Ai is a hard worker and talented lady; definetely, she has the qualities of a top ten player.

Madame Oracene Williams could certainly teach the French & Belgian crowds on how to upgrade their respective primitive behaviours during a tennis match.

Considering the results she has had this year, if her points added up give her this position, why not, I think she's earned it!
Of course she'll always remain the better doubles player

Since the rankings are so complex, it's possible. I'd kind of like 2C a version based on simple things, like * points for making the 4th round of a Slam, ** for the QF, *** SF, etc. up through win, of course; x % of those points for a Tier I, y% for a Tier II, z% for Tiers III, IV, or V; divided by the # of events played @ each level, then added up. (Only in the Slams would the "R16" count, though, due to the huge draw size). If I have about 600 free hours some time, I'll play around with those #'s. Speaking of which, where the 'ell is Quasimodo, who used to do all those elaborate rankings?
