slumpers in the top 20 2003

Monica Seles
Probably her worse yr to date. Is this the end? Her injuries are really hurting her and she can't play we all know she

Hantuchova
Probably due to her lack of consistency and mental strength and also weight issues

Dokic
Family problems, and apparently is redesignin her game to LOSE

Capriati
Not really slumpin. but quite poor grandslam results this yr

Venus
Not slumpin, but is having a relatively poor year.

Totally agree...but not quite

Monica's had foot injuries. Everyone knew that Monica only lost to that Czech girl in AO b/c she was limping and had an injury with her toe. Also, Monica made it to finals in Tokyo and Dubai (she almost beat Henin), so it's not too bad. But I do think this is far below Monica's best and I'm pretty certain this'll be her last year

Daniela's got problems with her eating habit. Before, she made it to QF in AO.

Ever since Jelena split from her dad, she's been doing bad (lost 6-2, 6-0 to Kim at Miami - ARRRGHHHHH).

Don't know much about JCap or Venus though...Older Babygirl's still got the weapons to challenge Serena.

Go Ai! Go Shinobu! Go Rita! Go Monica! Go Serena! Go Kim! Go Amelie! Go Lindsay! Go Jenn! Go Jelena! Go Mary! Go Conchita! Go Amanda! Go Chanda! Go Elena D! Go Maggie! Go Amy! Go Adriana!

Players I sorely miss.
Dominique Van Roost, Martina Hingis, Gabriela Sabatini, Mary Joe-Ferenandez, Steffi Graf, Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario, Anke Huber, Kimiko Date, Pam Shriver, Naoko Sawamatsu, Brenda Schultz-McCarthy, Sandrine Testud and Julie Halard-Decugis.

Good luck in your post-tennis life

I agree with all your selections. I feel bad for Dani because the pressure and expectations really got to her. I know she can bounce back but it won't be for awhile. Jenny and Venus really just need to regroup for different reasons.

Yes, Monica has had a bad year this year.
Daniela has had a very bad year
Jelena has had the worst year of the top 15 I think.
Venus and Jen have lost their competitiveness. The Jennifer that won the AO after saving 4 matchpoints in the heat last year, is far from that Jennifer this year... Venus, winning the Us Open in 2001, has dropped off completely, everything got worse, and the competition got better.
Maybe these ladies are sooo sick of tennis that they don't care.
They do have money, and they have been working extremely hard, just maybe, they are not willing ot put in the extra hours they used to.
