News Flash: It's been recently discovered that Justine is not Amelie Mauresmo

Good God! It is quite irritating to here people making comments about how, if Serena plays the same kind of tennis she did against Amelie that Justine is the automatic loser. Let's get on with the program, people, Justine and Amelie are not the same people nor are they the same players. Amelie was fighting some kind of demons there other than Serena (metaphorically, I'm not saying Serena is a demon so back the fuck off)! Justine might just have the answer to Serena's power play from yesterday!

I don't think Serena played that great against Momo. She will have to play better to beat Justine.

Now you know how it feels to have Venus and Serena spoken about like they are one and the same.

"And for the best of the teen-agers who followed her, and who occasionally referred to her as over the hill, Graf had a ready answer: against top-ranked Martina Hingis, Graf wound up 7-2. Graf's stirring 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 throttling of Hingis at the French Open final this June was perhaps the most emphatic parting shot the game has ever seen. "

Well that's wonderful, for your sake, I hope you don't have a history of heart problems in your family because I would hate for you to suddenly go into panic mode when Justine bitch slaps Serena.

SerenaJWilliams, you are so right I did not sleep at all the night before because I also considered MoMo much more dangerous. But you know you can never be to relaxed. If Serena goes out on the court pissed like she was yesterday who the hell knows what will happen.

I don't care because I've never made comments bundling Serena and Venus together. And I don't think anyone really feels that if one beats the other the other falls as well, which is what most people are saying about the semi final against Justine.

Well that hasn't happened to date, so why would anyone concern themselves w/that at this point?

If Serena plays w/in herself, Justine will lose. Serena at or near her best will beat any other player still in the draw at thier best.

I think people compare them b/c they are same style of play. But I agree...Serena played well, but she dropped her level at the end of the match. She does need to be on her game tomorrow.

I, too, thought Mauresmo was a tougher opponent than Justine. But we'll see tomorrow. I'm pretty confident that Serena will pull through. The question is will it be a cakewalk or tight sets... time will tell! T- 18 hours and counting...

I don't know who "most" is. Justine will have to play her match of the year to beat Serena tomorrow, and no her level at Charleston probably won't be good enough.

totally i woke up at about 8 my time hoping the match was over

it didnt actually hit me that play didnt actually start till 12 and she was the second match on

Mauresmo messed up my mind for real

never be too relaxed??? sure. i want this more than anybody. im not content with 5 i want each and every slam. but i cant keep doubting my girl.

and she never loses when i get the chance to see her. so it makes good reading.

of course, this match COULD go either way. but my mental attitude is positive and im totally optimistic (not arrogant) about the outcome of this match

I personally thought that with all the pressure the French people have placed upon Amelie that she will quickly fold. Justine is not the same. I have no doubt that Justine will bring it tomorrow against Serena. It's a shame that because Serena defeated Amelie so convincingly that Justine is the the automatic loser of tomorrow's match should Serena perform similarly. Justine's game and Amelie's game though are similar with the onehanded backhand, Justine's serve is more efficient and her net game is more complete and her forehand has become her better shot. To me, Serena would have to be at her best to defeat Justine (with the confidence she holds) at her best.

I don't think people are predicting Justine to lose based on Serena's match against Momo, they're basing that on the "fact" that Serena is the best player on the tour, and very hard to beat when she's even close to the zone.

Justine was troubled by Patty. Patty is no Serena J. Williams.
