I don't really understand the points of threads like this that seem to be just about bragging about their fave.

What Maria has done is undoubtedly impressive, whether Martina says so or not. Good for her.

I cheer on scrubs.

Re: Legend Hingis admits she is envious of Sharapova's career slam

English translated but i found this bit interesting.

You have completed a career double-double and returned to the WTA-Tour, but the last time - only in doubles. On the single thought?
- No. I'm not interested just play - you want to achieve serious results. I do not feel that I have something to get personal discharge. Tennis, including women, recently became Athletic. Physical strength and had not been my trump card,

Well she totally could have. One inexplicable loss and one shameful throwaway, not even mentioning the semi losses to her pigeons.

When was this pic taken? Ai is there right?

Hingis definitely could have won multiple titles at RG but she didn't.
It is nice to hear her acknowledge Maria though.

Funny that Hingis defeated great clay-courters like Seles and Sanchez Vicario at the French Open, yet always found a way to not win it.

What point?

The crowd was against Unhinged because she had insulted Mauresmo ("Half a man!") and Steffi ("Her time has passed.").
