It was a good match..Jen was way too passive and as usual her lack of a big first serve cost her...

I enjoyed it! It was a very good match. But I still think it was extremely unfair for Venus, Cappy and Davenport to have to play today and the top section players were off yesterday.

Actually I think Jenny played very well! I mean Nadia was hitting shots an inch away from the baseline and it is so hard to step into the baseline and be aggressive when you're that far behind the baseline! Although Jenny still had trouble with her serve IMO she is definitely improving..

Very entertaining match - finally a women's match that deserved to be shown on TV

I agree that Jennifer was too passive - that is why she loses to Serena, too. Jennifer is really a defensive player with offensive power. If you notice, she rarely has more winners than other top players...

I would have enjoyed it more if Capriati had won.

There is plenty of Women's matches that deserve to be on tv,but if they're not Americans they don't make on tv....

aquawk box - Before today's matches, please name 3 women's matches from this tournament that were of as good of quality as, say, Agassi/Ancic, any of Costa's matches, Kafelnikov/Saretta, Henman/Martin, and so on.

Obviously the women have star power, but seeing Serena win 6-0,6-0 is nowhere near as enjoyable as seeing all these great men's matches.

That was sensational tennis! Nadia played like a Williams sister!

Janie, I hope Nadia pulls out of the mixed doubles tomorrow. That can only get in the way at this point.

lol, whoa cat... like a Williams sister? I might have to watch her now.

From the little I saw of it, I had to do gardening today , it was a good match. It'll be on again at 10:30 on espn2... I'll pay attention this time.

Nadia vs Jenny

A great match indeed!

The girls displayed great power and skill in this tough match. Tv reporter Pam S sure liked it and spoke out on how thrilling it was.

I don't quite agree with those who say that Jenny was "passive". I thought that she played aggressively until she tired in the third set. Perhaps if her middle were not so soft and she were in better condition, she may well have been able to aggressively pull off the win. Now I hope that doesn't sound like a put down because it is not intended that way. I like Jenny though I do get upset with the way she barks at the officials at times. I just wish she'd lose just a little poundage in her middle so that her stamina might improve. I am convinced that this would give her the endurance she needs to pull out third set victories.

Kudos to Nadia for her determined efforts to win this round of tennis.

I'm glad that everyone enjoyed the match but I wish it had been shown live as that adds excitement to all of the matches.
